Family fun merges with Bluegrass in the Country

The bluegrass band Liberty Highway performs at the historic Pharis Farm last June during Bluegrass in the Country.

LIBERTY — Switching things up a bit this summer, Friends of Pharis Farm is merging Family Fun Day and Bluegrass in the Country for a brand new Pickin' on the Porch, Playin' at the Farm.

From 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 15, community members are invited to Pharis Farm, 20611 Missouri Highway EE in Liberty, to enjoy bluegrass music performed by Liberty Highway Band, food from Mudhole BBQ, period activities including butter churning and a variety of games.

For more information about this free event, contact Connie Carder with Friends of Pharis Farm at 632-9270.
