Liberty city staff have been monitoring the weather forecasts through the National Weather Service and local media. With improvements in the forecast, the city will be moving forward with plans to hold Liberty4thFest on Monday, July 3.

The fireworks company will be loading equipment (no fireworks, yet) later this morning, according to a city statement. There are also contingency plans in place should the grassy areas prove to be too wet for activities.

The current weather.com site has a predicted forecast of a 30 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms for Monday.
