Liberty Public Schools have cancelled classes for Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to dangerously cold, wind chill temperatures that have been predicted for that day.

The temperature is predicted to be between 4 and eleven degrees with wind gusts up to 15 mph, according to the Weather Channel forecast.

The Kid’s Zone program will be open and available at Liberty Oaks Elementary from for those that are signed up, from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Smithville School District and Kearney School District also canceled classes for Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Kearney's Kid's club will also be closed.
