CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close traffic lanes as part of the Interstate 435 and Missouri Highway 210 interchange improvement project.
Crews will close the right lane of eastbound Highway 210 at Searcy Creek Parkway from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, for asphalt paving work. Crews will then close close two lanes of southbound I-435 between 48th Street and Highway 210 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, for asphalt paving work. Crews will close the turnaround lane from southbound Randolph Road to Worlds of Fun Avenue from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12.
"This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the old twin bridges over I-435 and Route 210 and widening I-435," states a MoDOT release.
All work is weather dependent.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes or be prepared for heavier traffic flows in the area.
