Road work ahead

CLAY COUNTY — The Missouri Department of Transportation will close two lanes of northbound Interstate 435 between Front Street and Missouri Highway 210 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, for relocating temporary barriers.

Crews will then close two lanes of northbound I-435 at Highway 210 and two lanes of southbound I-435 between 48th Street and Highway 210 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to Wednesday, July 23 to 24, for patching work.

"This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the old twin bridges over I-435 and Route 210 and widening I-435," states a MoDOT release.

All work is weather dependent.
