LIBERTY — Police investigated a report of shots fired received before 2 p.m. Nov. 7. The shots were fired in the 1000 block of Broadmore Lane.

A child, police said, was in the residence at the time of the incident, but no injuries were reported.

Later that day, the city of Liberty posted to Twitter, stating two people were taken into custody as a result of the ongoing investigation.

“Scene is secure and remains under investigation,” the tweet from Nov. 7 states.

Lauren R. Praetor, 27, is charged with a misdemeanor for firing a weapon in city limits, according to Liberty police. A man from the house was also taken into custody, but later released.
