Daryl Lee Hoth

Daryl Lee Hoth, 79, of Kearney, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 Kearney, MO.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 10-12PM, funeral will be held at 12:00 pm at Kearney First Baptist Church.

Daryl was born December 30, 1939, in Summer, IA. He is the son of the late Almer and the late Sophia (Kammeyer) Hoth. He married Karen Faye Mennen on December 5, 1964 at Aplington, Iowa.

He served in the Navy from 09/09/1959 to 09/06/1963. He was employed by Continental, TWA and American Airlines as an A&P aircraft mechanic.

Daryl and Karen were married 54 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to eight grandchildren. He trusted Christ as his Savior and was a faithful member of Kearney First Baptist Church since 1981. Daryl loved serving his church, friends, and family. He enjoyed fixing anything, especially at the church’s missionary house. Daryl said, “Celebrate life when you’re alive and celebrate when you die.”

He is survived by his wife: Karen Faye (Mennen) Hoth, one daughter: Christy Putt married to Paul of Ozark, MO, and two sons: Chad Hoth married to Tracy of Kansas City, MO and Corey Hoth of Kansas City, MO, Brother of three sisters: Clysta Frazer of Pharr, TX, Marlys Heller of Summer, IA and LuAnn Hoth, and one brother: Dean Hoth of Oxford, AL.

Daryl was preceded in death by his brother, Don Hoth.
