Kearney XC to conduct midnight practice

KEARNEY — The Kearney High School cross country team will conduct a midnight practice to kick off the fall season Monday, Aug. 12, on the school's track, located off 19th Street.

It’s the second time in the program’s 38-year history that the Bulldog runners have elected to run a midnight practice, coach Jeff Roberts said.

“We had such an amazing summer running trip we decided we wanted to do something special to start the season,” he said.

Roberts added his athletes should bring their physicals and a flashlight.
