LIBERTY — It was a historic fall for Liberty High School athletics. As such, the players on those successful teams are racking up the awards.

LIBERTY — It was another incredible fall for Liberty North Athletics, and the players are reaping the rewards of their play.

A few of the area's dance teams put together successful weekends in the Dance Team Union Regionals Saturday, Jan. 4, at Lee's Summit West High School.

The Northland once again found plenty of success in this year's Wonder Woman Invitational Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3 and 4, at Battle High School in Columbia.

Liberty North girls basketball put on a show in the second annual Lawson Hoops for Hope by defeating Rock Bridge 64-61 in a thriller for the team's first win of the new year Friday, Jan. 3.

While still on winter break, a pair of boys wrestling teams from the Northland had opportunities to compete out of state.

Athletes don't always get the chance to compete under the bright lights, in a large arena, in front of large crowds of fans.
