CLAY COUNTY — In unincorporated Clay County, between Liberty and Kearney off of 116th Street and State Route 33, ground is already moving and by next week, the building pad should be in place for the new Law Enforcement Resource Center, said Straub Construction President Dan VanDonge.

The Missouri State Beekeepers Association, representing over 750 beekeepers across Missouri, shared “the alarming results of a recent nationwide survey revealing catastrophic honey bee colony losses. The survey, conducted by a multi-organizational working group including Project Apis m., the American Beekeeping Federation, and the American Honey Producers Association, indicates an average loss of 62% among commercial beekeeping operations between June 2024 and February 2025,” according to a press release.
