The Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum will hosts its annual Children's Garden Day program in partnership with the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City on Saturday, July 10, 4109 NE Pleasant Valley Road.

The Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum will hosts its annual Children's Garden Day program in partnership with the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City on Saturday, July 10, 4109 NE Pleasant Valley Road.

“Come visit the farm's heirloom vegetable and herb garden, where families will learn about gardening and the importance of growing your own food. Free children's crafts, face painting, activities, recipes and demonstrations,” states a release.

Garden tours will be available for visitors led by experienced master gardeners. This free family event will run from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 423-4107.

In addition to the children’s garden program, the farm hosts a range of events throughout the year. Continuing this summer through July 31 is Yoga on the Farm. The event runs from 8 to 9 a.m. outdoors at the farm every Saturday. To register, call the Gladstone Community Center at 423-4200.
