GLADSTONE — At its recent annual breakfast, the Northland Community Foundation celebrated the kindness, compassion, generosity and vision of those who worked over the years to better the Northland community.
Those honored included Ellen Todd, CEO of Curry Real Estate Services, who received the organization’s 2023 Pinnacle Award. Todd lives in Liberty.
Previously received by Northlanders such as Anita and Gerald Gorman and Todd’s father Ray Brock, the Pinnacle Award is given in recognition of those who have demonstrated civic pride, caring and leadership in their contribution of time and treasure.
Curry Real Estate Services was established in 1924.
Todd spoke of how everyone attending the annual breakfast was a contributor and how thankful she is to work alongside so many giving and passionate people to make the Northland a better place for all, states a release from the event. She also gave credit to the foundation for its support of those who want to make a difference.
“That the Northland is such a wonderful place to be is due in no small part to the work of the Northland Community Foundation,” Todd said. “The foundation provides the leadership and insight to identify needs in our community and makes it easy to be a part of accomplishing hard things, to make a lasting, positive impact.”
The Northland Community Foundation was established in 1986 to encourage charitable giving to benefit the families and children living in Clay and Platte counties.
