Jewell sorority hosts food drive

LIBERTY — William Jewell College's Alpha Gamma Delta sorority will host a food drive Feb. 10 to 15 to benefit The Children's Place, a preschool in Kansas City serving children who have been through trauma.

"Alpha Gamma Delta at William Jewell College is hosting this event in conjunction with our philanthropy to fight hunger and as a way to get more involved in our community," Vice President of Philanthropy Victoria Pascoe said.

Donations can be brought to the Yates-Gill Union Building on the William Jewell College Campus, 500 W. College St. in Liberty.

Sorority sisters will be collecting nonperishable food items including canned vegetables, spaghetti, ravioli, canned tuna and chicken, juice boxes, shelf-stable milk, oatmeal, fruit cups and applesauce.
