KEARNEY — The Kearney Fire and Rescue Protection District is again selling pink and gray shirts with proceeds benefiting the Kansas City arm of the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer efforts.

The district has sold the shirts each October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month for seven or eight years, said Cpt. David Pratt. In the last two years, shirt sales have raised more than $5,000. Proceeds, he said, are used to aid those fighting the disease locally as well as survivors.

Once ordered, shirts will be available seven to 14 days later. Sales end Oct. 31. To order a shirt, visit https://kfd19.itemorder.com/sale.
