LIBERTY — During Fall Clean-up Week, Monday to Friday, Oct. 21 to 25, Liberty residents can get rid of excess trash, furniture, minor maintenance materials and carpet.
Residents can place the items at the curb or roadway on the regular trash day. With the exception of large pieces of furniture, each item must not exceed 45 pounds or be longer than 4 feet. To assist the trash collectors, residents should make sure all items are securely tied, bagged or bundled.
The following items are not eligible for collection: sleeper sofas; tires; hazardous waste including paint, insecticides, chemicals or batteries; appliances; refuse from remodeling, roofing or major repairs; yard waste; or concrete, rock and rubble.
To help with some yard clean up, the Liberty tree limb yard will be open to Liberty residents from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., during clean-up week and and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26. The site is located on the new Missouri Highway 210, approximately half a mile east of Missouri Highway 291. Residents should watch for signs and bring proof of residency. Only tree limbs may be brought to the area.
No commercial vehicles will be allowed.
