Liberty Health and Wellness resident celebrates 100th birthday

LIBERTY — On her 100th birthday, Pauline Leard received special attention Aug. 13. Not only did she get cake, but Mayor Lyndell Brenton proclaimed the day Pauline Leard Day in the city of Liberty in her honor.

Leard is known for courage, endurance and a love of family and church, states the proclamation.

The centenarian is currently a resident of Liberty Health and Wellness, 2201 Glenn Hendren Drive, but began her life in Mineral, Arkansas. She was eldest of 10 children born to Andrew and Florence Davis.

Leard married her husband, Raymond Leard in February of 1940. Their marriage resulted in two daughters, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
