Missouri EATS aims to bring awareness to issues of food insecurity and provide self-sustaining produce throughout the community of Smithville.

SMITHVILLE — Smithville's pilot program Missouri EATS, bringing edible foliage to community spaces, is working to plan a youth cookoff with a format similar to the TV show "Chopped."

Planning for the event will be held online and via phone conference from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20. Those interested can contact GK Callahan at callahang@missouri.edu.
