Missouri Humanities funds African American heritage programming

Missouri Humanities is expanding its African American heritage partnerships and programmatic reach by inviting Missouri organizations to apply for funding assistance for African American Heritage programs throughout 2020. Programs must adhere to the mission of increasing the collective understanding of the African American experience through public programming in the humanities.

Proposals should be submitted by organizations that operate as a nonprofit including schools, other educational institutions, local government and governmental agencies and civic organizations. Missouri Humanities will fund up to $2,500 per awardee for projects.

Detailed funding guidelines and application materials are online at www.mohumanities.org/african-american-heritage. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 15. Awardees will be notified by 5 p.m. on Dec. 14.
