SMITHVILLE — St. Luke's North Hospital recognized outstanding employees and the second financial quarter.

Heather Fritz, patient advocate, was named Employee of the Quarter.

"Heather always responds to patient concerns with a friendly, positive and caring attitude to create a welcoming environment," states a press release.

The Patient Access and Admitting Department was selected as Team of the Quarter.

Jeremy Seager, a registered nurse on the Medical/Surgical floor, was bestowed the DAISY Award, given to honorees personifying the hospital system's commitment to exceptional patient experiences

"Jeremy provides clarity around treatments and results for patients, and this reassurance helps ease their concerns," the release states.

Dr. Amanda Bell, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, was selected as the St. Luke's North Hospital Physician of the Quarter.

"Bell is willing to go above and beyond," states the release. "Patients and staff appreciate that Dr. Bell is always very approachable and always up to date on the latest in endocrinology care."
