The Clay County 4-H Fair is a collaborative community event, showcasing and promoting the achievements and talents of 4-H youth. This year's fair took place in downtown Smithville this weekend.

Projects include, but are not limited to: handmade items and food, speeches, animal care and raising, and posters and displays.

Due to rain, the rabbit, poultry and goat shows were held at a private arena. The dog show was postponed. The pie and cookie contest did take place as well as a public pet costume contest.

Other projects and exhibits were available for viewing.
