Kearney chamber promotes businesses with $1,500 giveaway

KEARNEY — To encourage people to support local businesses through shopping, Kearney Chamber of Commerce has created a holiday campaign where a winner will receive $1,500 from a drawing. The campaign is similar to the Bridging Liberty campaign, where people were incentivized for shopping at business that may have seen declining sales related to the Missouri Highway 152 bridge construction project.

To be entered in the Kearney drawing, a person must spend $100 at participating businesses between now and Dec. 15 and turn in receipts for purchases no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 16, at chamber office, located at 355 Sam Bar Drive, Suite 103. Receipts can also be scanned and emailed to chamber Executive Director Stacie Bratcher at Purchases using gift cards or “cash” back are not eligible.

The $1,500 prize drawing will take place Dec. 18 and broadcast live on the chamber's Facebook page. The winner does not need to be present to win.
