CLAY COUNTY — The Clay County Economic Development Council will honor the area’s top developments and construction projects of 2019 at the annual Keystone Recognition Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The event will be held from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino, 1 Riverboat Drive, North Kansas City.
The awards recognize businesses that made significant contributions to Clay County’s economy and quality of life.
“The honorees have brought significant capital investment, employment increases, improvements to neighborhoods and business districts, as well as technological innovation,” states a release.
This year’s Keystone Award recipients include: Aldi, Excelsior Springs; designWerx, Gladstone; the HMBC Logistics Center, Kansas City; Holiday Inn Express, Kearney; Dakota Bodies, Liberty; the Missouri American Water Administration & Operation Complex, Lawson; and the Iron District, North Kansas City.
Also being recognized are several public projects including: North Kansas City High School; the Kearney High School stadium press box; the Antioch, Claycomo, Excelsior Springs and Kearney Mid-Continent Public Library branches; the Kansas Street/Missouri Highway 152 and Interstate 35 Interchange; and Hobby Hill West Park in Gladstone.
