CLAY COUNTY — In an informal poll available online at MyCourierTribune.com throughout September, readers responded to three questions asking what they thought of the job performance of Western Clay County Commissioner Gene Owen, Eastern Commissioner Luann Ridgeway and Presiding Commissioner Jerry Nolte. Respondents were asked if they strongly approve, approve, neither approve or disapprove, disapprove or strongly disapprove of their job performances.
Of the 627 responses on Owen's performance, 574 strongly disapprove, while 31 disapprove, nine are indifferent, three approve and 10 strongly approve of the job he is doing.
Of the 630 responses on Ridgeway's performance, 588 strongly disapprove, 25 disapprove, five are indifferent, four approve and eight strongly approve.
Of the 621 responses of Nolte's performance, 55 strongly disapprove, 17 disapprove, 45 are indifferent, 190 approve and 314 strongly approve.
While full poll results were available online at the time of polling, due to a printing error that cut off the full results of the responses on Ridgeway's performance in the Sept. 26 print edition, these results are being published again.
