SMITHVILLE — In conjunction with National Public Lands Day, Clay County and Toyota will be hosting Smithville's 30th Annual Smithville Lake Clean-Up Day.

Individuals and groups of volunteers are needed. Participants will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Sailboat Cove Shelter on Paradise Road. The event includes a half-day clean-up, free picnic lunch and a patch for each participant.
