Liberty City Hall will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The Liberty Community Center will have regular hours.

Monday, Dec. 2

The Corbin Theatre, 15 N. Water St., presents Jazz on the Square, starting at 5:30 p.m. The music is free, but concessions are available for purchase.

Storytime for families is at 5:30 p.m. at the Liberty Mid-Continent Public Library branch, 1000 Kent St.

Liberty City Council holds a study session beginning at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 101 E. Kansas St.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

Liberty Small Business Connect, a small networking group, gathers from 8:15 to 9 a.m. at Big Biscuit, 840 Missouri Highway 291, Liberty. It is meant to connect small business owners in the area. For details, call 698-6464.

Storytime for toddlers is at 9:15 a.m. at the Liberty library branch. Storytime for preschoolers is at 10:15 a.m. At 2 p.m., visitors can learn intermediate Microsoft Word skills. At 6 p.m., Terry DaVolt will perform his comedy hypnosis show. Call 781-9240 to register for the last two programs.

At 6:30 p.m., David zum Brunner will share a “Night Before Christmas Carol” as Charles Dickens and 17 characters. Thursday, Dec. 5

Storytime for babies is at 9:15 a.m. at the Liberty library branch. At 7 p.m., Rep. Mark Ellebracht will host a community forum.

From 12:45 to 1:35 p.m., seniors can travel from Liberty Community Center to Liberty North High School to receive technological help with computer devices from students. Register at 439-4396. There is a $5 fee.
