CLAY COUNTY — A crash on Missouri Highway 210 at Missouri City in Clay County on St. Patrick’s Day sent two to Liberty Hospital with moderate injuries.
According to a highway patrol crash report, the wreck occurred around 8 a.m. Friday, March 17, when a westbound 2013 Chevy Equinox SUV driven by Kelly M. Cooper, 29, of Independence, crossed the center line of Highway 210 as Cooper attempted to pass another vehicle.
The crash report states Howard D. Lonsdale, 61, of Liberty, driving a 2021 Ford F-150 truck westbound was unable to avoid the SUV, and the truck was hit “nearly head on” by the Chevy driven by Cooper.
Booth Cooper and Lonsdale were transported by ambulance to Liberty Hospital.
According to the highway patrol, both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
