LIBERTY — Closing the entry to Dains Street from Liberty Drive between Retro Bowl and Mill Street, utility lines crashed to the ground in Liberty around midday Friday, May 18.
"It was an accident," Cpl. Jason Norris of the Liberty Police Department said. "A semi got caught up on the wires when it tried to make the turn."
Norris added that there are no injuries or serious damage. Norris speculated said that crews from both Kansas City Power & Light and AT&T would be arriving shortly to assess and resolve the situation.
KCP&L arrived on the scene only moments later.
