Ethel Adah Vaughn, 97, of Liberty, MO, passed away November 1, 2019.

A visitation will be 11:00-noon, Friday, November 8, 2019, at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, MO 64068. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Friday, November 8, at the Missouri City Cemetery.

Ethel was born March 12, 1922, in Clay County, Missouri and spent her entire life in the Liberty and Missouri City areas. She graduated from Missouri City High School in 1941. Ethel married the love of her life, Thomas Harmon Vaughn, after meeting him while working for TWA. She worked as an upholsterer and maintenance mechanic. Ethel enjoyed traveling and collecting souvenirs from her travels. She also enjoyed going to antique stores, finding furniture pieces and collectibles. Ethel enjoyed gardening, especially planting flowers throughout her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Josephine Aker; her husband, Tom Vaughn; her siblings, Preston Aker, John Aker, Ruby Walters and Claude Aker; and nephew, Randy Aker.

Ethel is survived by her nieces and nephews, Walter and Linda Aker, Don and Peggy Pedigo, Steve and Pam Aker, and Ken and Nancy Mathis; as well as other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the arrangement of Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 816-781-2000.
