Jane Conley, age 95, was called home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2020 after a full and faithful life. She joins her husband Ralph M. Conley, parents Fred L. and Helen (Hicklin) Carson in Glory.

Born in Missouri City on December 22, 1924, Jane also called Janie, enjoyed small town life among friends and relatives. She graduated from Missouri City High School, was baptized at the Missouri City Christian Church as a child and attended church regularly. One of her first jobs was in the ice cream shop on Missouri City’s main street, just two blocks from her home. A talented singer, Jane married the love of her life in February of 1949 and moved to Liberty where they welcomed daughter, Marla six years later. She was active in the Liberty Christian Church Choir, the Homemaker’s Club, a member of P.E.O. Chapter IZ and other social groups. Jane also enjoyed bowling on leagues and her infectious laugh could often be heard echoing throughout McBowl. She enjoyed life and as she would say “danced a million miles” many at the Liberty Hills Country Club. Later the Corbin Theatre monthly “Jazz on the Square” was a regular event.

She is survived by her only daughter, Marla Jannings and husband, Jon of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren by marriage, Dr. Aaron Jannings and wife Hayley of Germany and their children, Charlie, Esmé, and Henry; Andrew Jannings of North Carolina; her brother-in-law, William Conley of Missouri City, MO.
