LIBERTY — A work group seeking to identify resource concerns and provide input about program criteria of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will meet at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 22, at the USDA Service Center in the UMB building, located off Victory Drive in Liberty.

The group is comprised of representatives from local, state and federal agencies with knowledge of natural resource concerns.

The group will help prioritize selection criteria for NRCS’ Environmental Quality Incentives Program and Conservation Stewardship Program applications in Clay, Clinton, Jackson and Platte counties.

The meeting is open to the public and will include time for comments from residents. While final decisions will be made by NRCS leadership, local input is requested.
