LPS students recognized for all-state achievement

The Liberty school board recognize Liberty and Liberty North students who received all-state distinction Tuesday, Jan. 21, before the students left for Osage Beach the following day to perform. These students received a standing ovation from the dozens attending the meeting. Additionally, Heritage Middle School's Bella Voice Choir group also traveled to Margaritaville Lake Resort to perform for the Missouri Music Educators Association.

LIBERTY — Before taking off for Osage Beach to perform with the all-state band and orchestra last week, more than a dozen fine arts students were recognized by the Liberty Public Schools' Board of Education for being invited to perform during the Missouri Music Educators Association conference Jan. 22 to 25.

Students who attended from Liberty High School were: Jillian Arnold, Charles Cope-Morris and Grant Owen in the All-State Band; Jonathan Fang, Katie Martin and LillyAnn Willis in the orchestra; and Alex Johnson, Blake Johnston, Michayla Johnston, Regan Mills and Marcus Myvett in the choir.

Those from Liberty North High School were: Jackson Krop, Jacob Rains and Aaron Stockman in the All-State Band.

Heritage Middle School's Bella Voice Choir group also traveled to Margaritaville Lake Resort to perform for MMEA.
