The Kearney boys soccer team won one and lost one in a weather-shortened Oak Park tournament Oct. 3 and 4.
The Bulldogs (7-4) opened the tournament with a 4-2 victory over Oak Park Oct. 3. The contest was knotted at 2-2 at halftime.
Kearney then dropped a 3-2 result to Harrisonville Oct. 4.
Through 10 games, Kian Hayes led the offense with 16 goals, 27 shots and four assists.
Three players have contributed in between the posts — Tyler Snapp, Parker Snider and Kyle Hofer.
Snapp has 36 saves while Hofer has 10 and Snider has one.
In Smithville, the Warriors (3-6-3) have dropped two straight contests ahead of the Park Hill South Tournament.
The event began Tuesday, Oct. 8 and runs through Thursday, Oct. 10.
The Liberty Blue Jays, coming off a weekend road tournament, defeated St. Joseph Central 3-0 in conference action on Monday, Oct. 7, in St. Joseph.
Recording goals for the Blue Jays were Drew Plum, Kaden Rottjakob and Noah Senthavy.
With the win, Liberty improved to 9-5 overall and 6-2 in league play.
The Blue Jays went 1-2 at the Go 4 The Goal tournament in Burlington, Iowa Thursday, Oct. 3 to Saturday, Oct. 5.
Liberty North fell to Lee’s Summit 8-0 on Monday, Oct. 7, dropping its seventh of its last eight contests.
The Eagles (3-9-2) hosted Truman on Wednesday, Oct. 9, but the result was not available at press time.
Liberty North is at Belton on Thursday, Oct. 10.
