Liberty North extended its season Friday night, Nov. 8, with a 17-14 win over Rockhurst in the Class 6 District 4 semifinal round.

A spot in the state semifinals is on the line next week as Liberty North faces Raymore-Peculiar.

Raymore-Peculiar defeated Park Hill 24-14 in the other Class 6 District 4 semifinal.

While Liberty North survived to see another week, Smithville did not get so lucky.

Platte County defeated Smithville 23-20 on a go-ahead field goal with 55 seconds left in the game.

Platte County's win in the Class 4 District 8 semifinal round completed the season sweep of Smithville. Platte County won the regular season meeting 15-0.
