KEARNEY — The girls wrestling team of Kearney finished up a week of competition after hosting their own tournament and performing well in a triangular. In the triangular, Kearney defeated Grandview 72-6 and Raytown South 60-12 on Jan. 4.

KEARNEY — The Bulldogs capped off a busy week of wrestling. They competed in a triangular, duel and tournament within four days. Kearney started this run by facing Grandview and Raytown South in a triangular on Jan. 4.

KEARNEY — The Bulldogs’ latest tournament brought the girls wrestling team to Battle High School, where they competed in the Wonder Woman tournament. Kearney finished in an impressive 22nd place out of 84 teams that competed. Kearney secured 80 total points in the tournament.

LIBERTY — The Blue Jays’ girls wrestling program competed in the highly competitive Wonder Woman wrestling tournament at Battle High School. Liberty finished in fifth place out of 84 teams at the conclusion of the meet on Friday, Dec. 30.

KANSAS CITY — Liberty North’s girls wrestling program headed south to downtown Kansas City to take part in the Kansas City Stampede Tournament. The two-day event began on Friday, Dec. 16 and wrapped up the next day at Bartle Hall. The Eagles finished in 42nd place out of the 44 teams that competed.

SMITHVILLE — The Warriors started the season right as the wrestling program performed well in the Steve Leslie Invitational at Pleasant Hill on Saturday, Dec. 3. Smithville’s boys won the team championship with a final score of 400 points out of 16 teams in the competition.

LIBERTY — Liberty North wrestling begins a new season as the Eagles bring back talent from last year’s fantastic season. The boys’ team broke plenty of records last year while the girls’ team showcased their talent.

LIBERTY — The Liberty wrestling team begins another season under head coach Dustin Brewer. Last year, the Blue Jays claimed their third straight Class 4 State Championship. Last year's team included skilled seniors, many of whom are now wrestling at the college level.
