LIBERTY — Euxandre Leon, 32, Kansas City, was arrested Feb. 26, and is charged with felony trafficking drugs in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a weapon, according to Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.

SMITHVILLE — Smithville Public Works Director Chuck Soules told the Board of Aldermen this week the city is facing growing needs of the community while dealing with aging infrastructure, specifically the city’s water and wastewater systems.
