LIBERTY — The Liberty High School Robotics Team 1764 is marking its 20th anniversary this year. The 37 team members range in grades from freshman to senior.

KEARNEY — Julianne Kilson, a licensed counselor, pitched a book on grief in March of last year to Kendall Hunt Publishing and by December, “The Grief Project” was printed.

SMITHVILLE — Eagle Heights Elementary art teacher Andrea Aeschliman has been named Missouri Art Education Association’s 2025 Elementary Art Educator of the Year. The award is based on standards set by the National Art Education Association, contributions to the Missouri Art Education Association and the impact art education has on the school and community.

Leah Novitski was named to the fall 2024 dean’s list in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. To qualify for the list, students must achieve at least a 3.75 GPA for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours.

LIBERTY — High school senior William Duncan, a member of Scout Troop 376, built a new shelter in Ruth Moore Park as part of his Eagle Scout project. He started in June and finished on Dec. 31, 2024.
