LIBERTY — It was a mixed night for Liberty’s basketball teams as they closed out the week against North Kansas City Friday, Feb. 14.

LIBERTY — The bar area at El Potro Mexican Cafe, 116 Stewart Court, was full Valentine’s evening, but not just for diners seeking a special dinner. Jackson County Legislator Manny Abarca organized a rally there before the dinner rush. The rally was to support the Latino and immigrant families in Liberty and elsewhere in Clay County after last Friday’s raid by Homeland Security agents.
