BLOOD DRIVE: Smithville Community Blood Drive, sponsored by Smithville American Legion Post 58, 2607 Highway 92, will be 1 to 5 p.m. March 27. Walk ‘N Wag registration now open

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Animal Shelter and the Gladstone Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department offers Walk ‘N Wag April 19 at the Atkins-Johnson Farm & Museum, 4109 NE Pleasant Valley Road. The one-mile walk proceeds will be used to help provide a better environment for animals visiting the shelter and to assist in the treatment of ailing animals so that they may become adoptable.
