Missouri State Beekeepers Association troubled over nationwide honey bee colony losses
The Missouri State Beekeepers Association, representing over 750 beekeepers across Missouri, shared “the alarming results of a recent nationwide survey revealing catastrophic honey bee colony losses. The survey, conducted by a multi-organizational working group including Project Apis m., the American Beekeeping Federation, and the American Honey Producers Association, indicates an average loss of 62% among commercial beekeeping operations between June 2024 and February 2025,” according to a press release.
Law enforcement chase leads to felony charges for Kansas man
