Put cooking safety at center of holiday festivities

Holiday safety is an issue that burns brightest from late November through January as families across the country and the world gather for the holidays.According to the National Fire Protection Association, the number of cooking fires on Thanksgiving is more than three times as high as any other day of the year.“Cooking causes 52% of all reported home fires, nearly two of every five home fire injuries and it is a leading cause of home fire deaths,” reports NFPA.
