Development council seeks business input ahead of World Cup

CLAY COUNTY — The Clay County Economic Development Council seeks details on businesses interested in opportunities related to the World Cup coming to Kansas City in 2026.“This is a fantastic opportunity for your business to provide essential products and services while welcoming the international soccer community during the World Cup in Kansas City in 2026,” reads a release from the development council.The interest form is not exclusive to Clay County Economic Development members so people are encouraged to share the link with other businesses they deem important.

Northland Workforce Summit Oct. 28

KANSAS CITY – Metropolitan Community College invites the public to take part in a Workforce Summit with the aim of promoting Northland economic development.“This summit is intended to help develop workforce initiatives that empower businesses through a highly-skilled workforce that fosters growth and success for the entire community,” reads an event release.Keynote speaker will be Tim Cowden, president of the Kansas City Area Development Council.The summit will be from 8 a.m.
