Kearney chamber offers leadership academy

CLAY COUNTY — Eastbound and westbound Missouri 92 is now open between Cameron Road and Route RA/Old Quarry Road near Kearney.

LIBERTY — Dr. Nana Wiafe, a breast radiology fellow from Ghana, recently spent a month at Liberty Hospital, participating in an observership with Dr. Amy Patel, medical director and breast radiologist at The Breast Care Center at Liberty Hospital.

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting various traffic modifications on U.S. Highway 169 at Northwest Cookingham Drive for bridge rehabilitation. All work is weather permitting. All dates and times are approximate.

KANSAS CITY NORTH — Dakota Hemphill, 27, has been charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of a child. The Clay County grand jury offered up the indictment July 8.

SMITHVILLE — Thomas M. Tinoco Jr., 28, Smithville, has pleaded guilty in a child sex crime case that has been in the courts since early 2020.
