Christmas is always a magical and wonderful time of year for me. Aside from the decorations and music which I love, Christmas brings out a spirit of giving, a spirit of kindness and a time of year when we notice those less fortunate than we are.
Censorship is counter-intuitive to a free, open and healthy society. When one idea or viewpoint is squashed because of bias or ignorance, it creates a social order where creativity is stymied, blunted and discouraged. We see a social order that has become closed-mined with very narrow viewpoints, tunnel vision and is myopic in its thinking.
Rural communities are seeing a boom in renewable energy development. Whether it’s wind energy or solar energy, communities reap the benefits from increased tax revenues, new job creation and local lease payments. Better yet, communities can unlock additional benefits through Community Benefit Agreements.
