Liberty North football hit the road to start the season and returned home with a tough 49-28 loss to Blue Springs South Friday, Aug. 29.


Kearney boys swimming and diving started its season by competing in the SouthRock Invite Saturday, Aug. 30 at Blue Springs Aquatic Center.

It was a successful start to the season for Liberty boys soccer.

Nearly nine months after the program’s first state trophy, Liberty North softball team started the new season with the Midwest High School Invite Friday and Saturday, Aug. 29 and 30, at Mid-America Sports Complex in Shawnee, Kansas.

Liberty North volleyball started the season with a record of 2-2 after the Pony Express State Preview Friday and Saturday, Aug. 29 and 30, in St. Joseph.

SMITHVILLE — The second year of coach Josh Speer for Smithville football started in similar fashion to the first.

LIBERTY — After months of waiting, the Liberty Hospital Activity Complex was finally ready for another year of action.

INDEPENDENCE — Kearney softball came out with a 3-2 record from the Greater Kansas City Invitational Friday and Saturday, Aug. 29 and 30, at Adair Park.
