KEARNEY — The week came to an end on a good note as Kearney girls basketball earned seventh place in the Kearney Classic, held Monday through Friday, Jan. 13 through 17.

LIBERTY — It was a successful night for Liberty wrestling in its crosstown showdown with Liberty North Wednesday, Jan. 15.

KEARNEY — For the second time this season, Liberty girls basketball defeated Kearney, this time 50-27 in the consolation side of the Kearney Classic Wednesday, Jan. 15.

KEARNEY — Bulldog boys basketball kicked off its run in the Kearney Classic by blowing out Paseo Academy 72-24 Tuesday, Jan. 14.

KEARNEY — Smithville boys basketball started this year’s Kearney Classic with a 72-36 loss to Summit Christian Academy in the first round Tuesday, Jan. 14.

LIBERTY — Blue Jay girls swimming and diving followed up the COMO Invitational Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10 and 11, with a pair of wins over Kearney and Liberty North Tuesday, Jan. 14, in Liberty Community Center.
