LIBERTY — As Liberty softball enters a new era with new facilities, the Blue Jays also look to honor the past with a 35-year reunion and new field celebration Aug. 17.

A local bull rider started off his new campaign with a bang. Koltin Hevalow, a Class of 2022 graduate from Smithville, with his team, the Kansas City Outlaws, went 2-0 at the Professional Bull Riders Camping World Team Series’ first event of the season, PBR Wildcatter Days. The event ran July 12 through 14 in Oklahoma City.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association seeks proposals from event venues desiring to serve as the host of future MSHSAA boys volleyball state championships and softball state championships.
