LIBERTY — A local baseball player from Liberty North is headed to the World Series later this month.

It was a big weekend for the area’s boys swimming and diving teams as they competed in the COMO Invite Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4, at University of Missouri.

LIBERTY — It was the third win in the last four matches for Liberty North volleyball with a 3-1 triumph over Blue Springs South Thursday, Oct. 2.

KEARNEY — Another win is in the books for Kearney football after a 28-14 triumph over Grain Valley Friday, Oct. 3.

LIBERTY — For the first time in three weeks, Liberty football was on the road and it returned with a 31-28 win in a thriller over Park Hill Friday, Oct. 3.

It was a tough week on the road for Smithville football as it fell to undefeated Platte County, 49-7, Friday, Oct. 3.

LIBERTY — Kansas City Chiefs’ star Patrick Mahomes helped add to the Homecoming hype for Liberty North.

LIBERTY — The excitement and energy was cranked up. There was cheering throughout the Crossley Family Activity Complex, players were showing off secret handshakes and the stands filled up with navy and gold.
