GERALDINE SLOSSON

 ”Slosson, Geraldine “Deannie” Massey Age 97, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at Pacific Care Center. Preceded in death by her parents Huron V and Rachel Fitzgerald Massey, her sister Esther Warren and her husband of 45 years, Robert C. Slosson, she leaves a daughter, Joy D. Atkins-Miller (Vern Miller), Union; a son, Robert Evan Slosson (Andrea Wales), St. Louis Co; four grandchildren Talia Slosson (Joshua Harvey), Lithia, Florida; Olivia Slosson (Dakota Henry), Perth, Ontario, Canada; Marina Slosson and Garrett Slosson, both of St. Louis Co.; and two great-grandchildren Marlowe Harvey and Landis Harvey; niece Alesia Warren Smallwood (Bill); grandniece, Rachelle Gerstel (David); three grandnephews, Jason Marquardt (Valerie), Timothy Fowler and Justin Fowler (Abby); four great-grandnephews Logan Gerstel, Travis Gerstel, Dylan Marquardt, Lucas Fowler (Tim’s son); and great-grandniece, Karlie Fowler (Tim’s daughter); and many cousins around Kearney. After graduating from Central Mo State Univ. with a BS in Home Economics and Education (with a teaching certificate), she taught in eastern Mo ending at Cross Keys Middle School, Florissant. She transported the disabled for Care Cab Transportation until she retired. She was a member of Hamilton and Florissant Valley Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ). Services: Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, Visitation Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held there in spring; departing for Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery afterward.”
