MERLE MASTERS

 Merle D. Masters, age 96, of Holt, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025.
 Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a service celebrating Merle’s life at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, July 31, at Northern Hills Baptist Church, Highway 33 at 180th Street, Holt, MO 64048. Merle will then be taken in procession for a burial at Glenridge Cemetery, to be laid to rest next to her husband Bob. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Northern Hills Baptist Church Ministries.
 Merle was born March 2, 1929, in Marshall, Missouri, to Harold and Ida (Schmidt) Wyrick. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1946. Merle worked and retired from Hallmark Cards in Liberty after more than 21 years of service.
 She was a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church for over 40 years and a member of the local Keeper’s Club. Her favorite hobbies included traveling the country with her husband and friends, tending to the garden, watching the Royals and Chiefs and trash talking with her family during card games.
 Merle was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Bob G. Masters (who passed away in 2013).
 Survivors include her daughter Lynn Masters-Johnston; and son Tom Masters; her grandchildren T.J. Masters, Amanda (Masters) Reaves, Andrew Masters, Melissa (Masters) Day, and Shelby Kuenning; as well as eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Ann Pannell and her husband Loyd, Jane Hartley, Barbara Baker; and many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
