Ronald Carlos Pruett, 86, of Smithville, Missouri, passed away on May 31, 2025. Born on November 8, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri to Carlos and Reba (Mac­Laughlin) Pruett. He lived in Miami, Oklahoma; McKinney, Texas; and Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas.
 Ron proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He retired from TWA Airlines as a Crew Chief in the Automotive Shop and was an Aerial Lift Mechanic working on small engines for 33 years. Several years after retirement he worked for Kearney First Baptist Church as Custodian for seven years. Proudly served with the local disaster relief team for many years as a yellow and blue hat on the chainsaw team.
 Ron is survived by his wife Mary, of the home; son, Chris (Tammy) Clancy; daughters, Carrie (Jon) Clancy-Judy, Nita (Derek) MacPherson, and from a previous marriage Ronda (Mario) Aiuto, and Brenda (Jay) Miller; and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother.
 Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Kearney, Mo Friday, June 20, Visitation 1:00PM, Memorial 2:00PM.
